Future Plans
Now that we have raised sufficient money to render the North Wall we are now embarking on stage 3 of our renovation. However, in the process of stripping the Victorian cement from the North Wall at the chancel end of the Church we uncovered Tudor brickwork instead of stonework. Underneath this brickwork we found traces of a wide, low Norman archway, why it was there is a mystery.
The Keystone of the arch is now marked in the plaster.
Stage 3 is the stripping and re-decorating of the interior walls and to see if there are any surprises there! A rough estimate of the amount of money needed for this is in the region of £40,000 to £50,000 |
